After the boys had grown out of all the onesies, gowns, sleepers and hats, we donated them to the NICU at Mercy. When our boys were in there they wore the clothing provided by the hospital the whole time. We were told that if we were to bring our own clothing it may get lost. Since there are lots and lots of babies that come and go, the clothing gets a lot of use. Some of the clothing provided was very worn or was too big or too small.
I thought this was a good way to give back so that other babies could have nice comfy clothing. Also, with all the cords the babies are attached to, gowns are great to dress them in! It makes changing them and so on, easier!
If you have little ones and they've grown out of their stuff, think about donating it to your local NICU.
