You can pretty much make a nesting box out of anything. These are storage bins I picked up at walmart. They are easy to keep clean and the ladies love them!

We have eggs!
We made a couple roosts out of 2x2s. We later added a 2x4 to the tops of them to make it easier for the chickens to keep their feet warm in the winter.
We added a couple windows to help with ventilation. These are playhouse windows we ordered from amazon.
We also added a pet door to the side. This will help keep the coop warm in the winter.

And that's it. That's really all you need. They boys helped fill the floor with shavings and put the feeders inside. We have an electric cord running to the inside. We have a heat lamp and a heated waterer for the winter.
I added my cute details.
Some of the hens from our first flock. Bob and the big rhode island red are the only ones from this flock that we still have.
